Dear Hearts have packed up our guitars and returned to NYC.

Thanks again to all the fine rock’n’rollers in Italy who came out to see us in Firenze on 30 Dicembre 2011 @ Circolo Aurora—we had a blast and hope you did, too!

You Can’t Kill Stupid … Or Dear Hearts, Apparently!

WE’RE BACK!!!!!

FACT: We’re playing in Firenze, Italia on December 30, 2011 and you’re all invited!
—AND, we’re calling ourselves Dear Hearts once again.

After masquerading briefly as Walking Boss (which will probably now become a swingin’ side project…stay tuned), we’ve decided to re-claim Dear Hearts as our main name for this whole mess, and why not?

After playing in the US and Europe as Dear Hearts for the past several years, changing names is too much trouble.

Plus, in Italian, Dear Hearts is “Cari Cuori” which sounds pretty awesome when people (i.e. WJM) shout it at shows. So, we reckon we’ll stick with what works.

C’mon out and say “howdy,” “ciao,” or “that dude owes me ten bucks” when we return to Firenze, Italia on Friday December. 30, 2011 to play Circolo Aurora in Piazza Tasso, Firenze. WITH the fantabulous DJ spinning sounds of WJMeatball. See you there!

Dear Hearts Get a Drummer—and a NEW BAND NAME!?!?!! *******Say hello to ‘WALKING BOSS’******* Howdy, rock’n’roll fans, In the words of that weirdo old guy we think is Jakob Dylan’s dad, “the times they are a changin’.” With just our two electric guitars and that singin’ gal of ours, Dear Hearts have toured the world and elsewhere, from NYC to Italy to Germany to Providence. So, what’s next? Something good—so, put on your dancin’ shoes (well…keep reading first!) One wild weekend we decided to add a drummer to our lineup, and boy does it sound good! Guitars and drums? Crazy, we know. (New drummer’s identity will be revealed soon…mysterious, no?) Anyway, since we’re getting an extra-rockin’ sonic makeover, we thought it might be time for a name change to go with it. So, in honor of a great ol’ rail-roadin’ tune, and that jerk with the sunglasses who was always sticking it to Cool Hand Luke, we’re calling ourselves Walking Boss and setting about bringing some garage-rock fun back to the music scene. It’s a little bit ’50s rock’n’roll, a little rockabilly, a whole mess of noisy garage rock, and a lot of fun—so check it out! (And yes, that gal with the sparkly guitar, snazzy boots, and the smooth voice is still rockin’ the microphone.) We’re playing our FIRST EVER WALKING BOSS CONCERT, drummer and all, on Thursday November 3, 2011 at Don Pedro in sunny Williamsburg Brooklyn, NYC, New York, NY, etc. —-We’re up first, so don’t be late!!!!
